Interview-You Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us at Interview-You, We have adopted the following principles to protect your privacy:

  • We will not rent or sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes
  • We will not share your contact information without your consent
  • We utilize industry standard protocols and technology to secure sensitive information that you provide

Our Privacy Policy will be updated if changes occur that materially affect ways in which your personal information is used or shared. If you continue to use Interview-You services after notice of changes have been sent to you or published on our site, you hereby provide your consent to the changed practices.

This privacy policy provides additional information about:

Collection and use of your Personal Information

  • Interview-You collects personal information when you register with Interview-You, when you use Interview-You products or services, and when you visit Interview-You pages or the pages of certain Interview-You partners. Interview-You may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or other companies.
  • When you register we ask for information such as your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, gender, occupation, industry, and job function or title. For social networking purposes, we may ask for your LinkedIn profile address. For some reference checking and background checking products and services we might also ask for your address, Social Security number, birth date, education and previous employment information. When you register with Interview-You and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us.
  • Interview-You collects information about your transactions within the system with us, our Employer clients, our Recruiter clients, and with some of our vendor partners, including our Assessment tool vendors.
  • Interview-You automatically receives and records information that our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, Interview-You cookie information, and the page you request.


  • Interview-You uses information for the following general purposes: to create and deliver assessment testing products to you; to display your name, job function, industry, location (city, state), your resume, assessment results, endorsements, and interview video on your Showcase; to contact you regarding our products and services and your Showcase status, storage, and/or Employer and Recruiter interest in your Showcase; to create additional content for your Showcase with assets you submit; to locate your Google records for display from within your Showcase, to locate your LinkedIn profile for display from within your Showcase, to contact you, to allow contact between you and interested Employers and Recruiters, to conduct research, to provide you with metrics about web traffic to your Showcase, and to provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients.
  • Children are not eligible to use our services. Interview-You requests that minors (under the age of 18) do not submit any personal information to us or use our services.

Parties with whom your Information is shared

  • Interview-You will share your information with those Employers and Recruiters that you authorize to view your Showcase. This includes Employers and Recruiters that you email a link to your Showcase, and Employers and Recruiters that subscribe to access your Showcase if you submit it for inclusion within the candidate database.
  • With the exception of the sharing and access arrangements described above, Interview-You does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:
    • We provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with Interview-You under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help Interview-You communicate with you about offers from Interview-You and our marketing partners. However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information.
    • We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
    • We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Interview-You terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.
    • We transfer information about you if Interview-You is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, Interview-You will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

  • Interview-You may set and access Interview-You cookies on your computer.

How to modify and delete your Account Information

  • You can edit your Interview-You Account Information at any time.
  • We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the Interview-You service, such as service announcements, administrative messages and the Interview-You Newsletter, that are considered part of your Interview-You account, without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them.
  • You can deactivate your Interview-You account through your dashboard at any time. It is possible that information we previously collected from you may remain in our archived records after your account has been deleted.

Confidentiality and security measures that protect your Information

  • We limit access to personal information about you to Interview-You employees and partners who need access to that information in order to provide products or services to you or to do their jobs.
  • We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect personal information about you.
